The 206 Challenge

Walking is great for everybody's bones, but especially for people with osteoporosis. So we’re asking everyone to lace up their boots and walk 206 miles - one for every precious bone in the body - to raise awareness and funds for the National Osteoporosis Society. We’re calling it The 206 Challenge.

It's all about getting active in a way that's right for you. You could walk 206 miles in one go, over a month or two, share the target with friends, or just make some simple lifestyle changes like walking into town rather than getting the bus and see those miles add up. Just get active, get sponsored and help raise awareness of good bone health.

If 206 miles sounds too much, then why not do 20.6 or 2.06 miles? Every step counts and every pound you raise will help us help more people with fragile bones, and it's a great way to walk off the Christmas pud!

You’re free to set your own fundraising target, but as a starting point why not aim for £1 for every mile!

It was a great team effort walking up Mount Snowdon and an exhilarating experience. Walking is such a fun and sociable activity, and it’s free!
