FLS Implementation Toolkit

The FLS Toolkit has been developed by us in conjunction with partners in the NHS to aid the commissioning of services that improve care of people with osteoporosis and fragility fractures.

The FLS Toolkit aims to take some of the hard work out of establishing a new Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) or improving an existing one. It has been specifically designed to help develop a business case, saving you the time and trouble of researching and drafting the required documents.

Instructions for use: We recommend you follow the 6 steps depicted below in order to develop your business case to implement or improve an FLS in your locality. The templates are fully editable and formatting has been kept to a minimum to allow maximum flexibility and ease of use. The templates include guidance, as well as some sections where local information/data may need to be entered. These are highlighted [using bold text in square brackets].
