Our projects help to empower people to take control of their own health. We want to arm people with all the information to assess whether they could be at risk of fracture and if necessary ensure they get the treatment they need.

We know that if people are diagnosed with osteoporosis after a broken bone, there are treatments and lifestyle changes that can help reduce the chances of breaking further bones and the more extreme consequences of the condition. They can be helped to ‘Stop at One’ broken bone.

The ‘Stop at One’ project will be rolled out (within NHS fracture clinics) across 7 pilot sites from April to October 2017.

With your help, we aim to reach at least 5,000 people within the six months of the pilot in 2017. If the pilot is a success we can then roll out the ‘Stop at One’ materials to all fracture clinics from 2018 onwards to ensure everyone has access to the information they need.

Your vote would make a huge difference and empower people to ‘Stop at One’. Your vote will mean an early diagnosis of osteoporosis, helping to reduce the pain and suffering caused by multiple fragility fractures.
