Volunteers required for dental implant research by Queen Mary University of London
26 Jul 2017
The Institute of Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London is conducting research into the effects of dental implants on jaw bone in post-menopausal women with osteoporosis.
Researchers are seeking post-menopausal women over 50 years of age with a diagnosis of osteoporosis and with a missing tooth to participate in the trial at The Centre for Oral Clinical Research at Barts Health in London.
Eligible volunteers would receive a full mouth dental and gum check, treatment for gum disease as required and one dental implant, requiring a total of eight visits to London over a 15-month duration.
Travel expenses are not refundable, however all study treatment will be provided at no cost to participants.
