Rise to the occasion and Bake for Bones
19 Jun 2018
Bake for Bones is your opportunity to have fun, stir up a treat and raise money for life changing work.
Find out more about Bake for Bones below. And discover why you should get your worktops floured for action in support of people affected by osteoporosis.
It's easy and fun
Baking is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening. And you don’t need to be the next Mary Berry to take part. Anyone can get their apron ready for a good cause and have a go.
To make it even easier for you, we have all the ingredients you need for a fun and successful fundraising event, from sponsor sheets to a handy how-to guide. So let us help you mix up a treat that your friends will love to eat.
You’ll be supporting people affected by osteoporosis
Cupcakes, biscuits, or an elaborate tiered cake. Whatever you decide to bake for bones, you’ll be directly supporting our work helping people with or at risk of osteoporosis. What more motivation do you need?
Whatever size bake sale you hold, you’ll be funding life changing work. And a little can go a long way. By rustling up a dozen cupcakes and asking for a £1 donation for each, you could be funding more than 30 free calls to our osteoporosis Helpline. How amazing is that?
It’s something to share with family and friends
You don’t have to bake alone. Why not sign up as a team with family, friends or even colleagues to ensure there’s enough treats for all of your hungry friends?
Baking is a great way to spend time with loved ones. Whether you’re making the bakes… or eating them.
Invite the family round for a bake-a-thon, or ask your friends to donate a few bakes. And there’s nothing like a bit of friendly competition. Who can frost the fanciest cupcake? Or make the gooiest brownie?
When the bakes are all ready, extend your bake sale invitations far and wide to enjoy a few fun-filled hours with your nearest and dearest. It’s great to share that warm and fuzzy feeling you get from helping others.
You’ll be part of something big
Sign up for free to Bake for Bones. By taking part, you’ll be joining a community of charity supporters all over the country, who are coming together and making a difference this summer.
Remember to show us all the fun you’re having. Share your Bake for Bones experience far and wide, by using the #BakeforBones hashtag on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Your photos and stories could help inspire others to rise to occasion and Bake for Bones, too.
