Research Grants

Offering research grants is one of the many ways in which the Charity works to advance its vision - ending osteoporosis.

The new research grants round stems from a major evaluation of the outcomes of our research funding to date, which recently culminated in the launch of a revised Research Strategy.

Ten core research areas have been identified that support progress against the Charity's mission to Prevent, Care, Support and Cure osteoporosis. In order to achieve our vision of ending osteoporosis, we will tackle these core areas for all types of osteoporosis:

  1. Diagnosis and Risk Assessment
  2. Lifestyle Management
  3. Access to Information
  4. Systems of Care
  5. Pain
  6. Mechanisms of Disease
  7. Medication and Supplements
  8. Living with Osteoporosis
  9. Osteoporosis & Comorbidities
  10. Epidemiology

Our Research Strategy

We aim to bring about real improvements to the lives of people living with osteoporosis and are committed to investing money into research that will have maximum impact in the future.
