Midlands Bone Interest Group

MBIG currently has more than 75 members (all registered healthcare professionals from across the midlands) who work with people with, or at risk of, osteoporosis and fragility fracture.

The network includes consultants, doctors, nurses, AHPs, FLS practitioners & GPs. We welcome new members and the network is free to join.

 

MBIG was established with the aim of:

  • Helping to enable the provision of equitable services for people of all ages with or at risk of osteoporosis and fragility fractures throughout the midlands, in line with the charity’s vision.

  • Providing education meetings

  • Sharing best practices

  • Assisting with service improvement across the Midlands

  • Disseminating new guidance including the ROS guidance

  • Providing networking opportunities

  • Assisting with peer review

  • Enabling members of the group to provide education locally around osteoporosis and fracture prevention
